The 27-year-old actor told the company to sort their “s**t” out after he claimed he had no help from them after complaining about the offensive messages 16 times.
“Honestly @Twitter sort your s**t,” he wrote, sharing a screenshot of Twitter’s response to his complaints with his 300,000 followers.
“To say that the word ‘Faggot’ isn’t offensive. And to say its not ‘abusive behaviour’ when this is my SIXTEENTH complaint about the same dead leg with a different account.
Won’t be on here much longer I can tell you that. Sort. Your. S**t. Out!!”(sic)
Part of Twitter’s message to Danny’s complaint started that it had been “reviewed carefully” and they thought the comment was “no violation of the Twitter Rules against abusive behaviour”.
Many of Danny’s social media fan base rushed to show their support for the star.
One user wrote: “This is absolutely shocking. I wouldn’t blame you if you deleted your account.”
Another commented: “I am so sorry this is happening to you.”
“Well said Danny,” a third quipped.
Danny’s tweet came after his on-screen character Aaron reunited with Robert Sugden (played by Ryan Hawley) in heartwarming scenes on last night’s episode.
In the hour-long special, the cute lovers confessed their true feelings for each other and later pulled on viewers heartstrings by dancing to Adele under the stars in the show’s final moments.
