According to reports, Raymond Grant, 54, has been accused of “unwanted advance behaviour” towards a colleague half his age while he was under the influence of alcohol.
An unknown source said: “It wasn’t unusual for Keith to turn up to work drunk as he’s done it before but this incident has shocked everyone.”
“He was drunk when he got on the bus in the morning. Then he behaved inappropriately towards a female member of the team who’s half his age. It happened in front of loads of people, the girl was so upset,” they added to The Sun.
The father of four is believed to have been sacked shortly after the female complained to ITV bosses about his behaviour.
An ITV spokesperson confirmed to Express.co.uk that Raymond had been sacked and will not appear on the show this year.
They statement said: “Ray is no longer under contract on the show. There are no plans for him to return this year.”
Raymond Grant was unavailable to comment.
Raymond started off on the show as a labourer in 2002 when he helped to build the show’s set.
He was then scouted by bosses to star as the straight-faced shopkeeper Kiosk Keith in 2013 and has played the character since, reportedly being paid no extra money.
His main role on the show is to hand over treats to the celebrities if they succeed in their Dingo Dollar challenge from the Jungle’s Outback Shack or famously slam down the blinds if they are unsuccessful.
